I was sad to hear that Madonna's 99-year-old grandmother Elsie Fortin passed away at her home in Bay City, Michigan yesterday just three months before her 100th birthday. Elsie is Madonna's grandmother on her mother's side, also named Madonna, who passed away from breast cancer in 1963 when the singer was five years old. I hope I get to live that long with all my marbles still intact and without having to resort to wearing a diaper. R.I.P. Elsie.
