KURT AND HIS DAD HAVE THE SEX TALK ON GLEE
This is truly a first for television, because never in the 32 years I have been alive has my dad sat down with me to talk about sex - let alone between two men. 10's across the board for the way they handled this topic, because the new generation of gays need this now more than ever. I remember when I went to audition for the gay version of Jersey Shore that they are in the process of casting, that this was the reason why I went to the audition. I went because I wanted to inspire kids out there who feel that they are alone and depressed that they can be whatever they want and shouldn't have to compromise who they love in order to do it.
I'm sure some went because they were willing to make a fool of themselves for quick fame and fortune, but when I was growing up, I didn't have TV shows like this to look to as inspiration. The closest I came was Ricky on My So-Called Life which lasted one season. This is a great time for gays to move into the mainstream, and the more stories that are told and the more suicides we can prevent the better off our world will be. Glee is pushing that revolution forward, and since they've cracked the door open slightly, now would be more of a time than ever to kick it in and come barging through with full force. Check out the clip from last night's episode in case you missed it.
