Just after 24 hours of twatting offensive posts regarding the victims of the tsunami and earthquake in Japan, comic Gilbert Gottfried wound up getting his ass fired as the Aflac mascot.
"Gilbert’s recent comments about the crisis in Japan were lacking in humor and certainly do not represent the thoughts and feelings of anyone at Aflac ... Aflac will immediately set plans in motion to conduct a nationwide casting call to find a new voice of the iconic Aflac Duck."
Good luck finding someone who was just as funny as Gilbert playing the Aflac duck. I will admit I did laugh out loud at his tweets, and I do love an equal opportunity offender (as I often am when I come for a bitch), but I do feel it was way too soon for the jokes regarding the people of Japan.
