After literally creaming myself over the Mortal Kombat: Rebirth short released on YouTube last summer, now comes your first look at photo stills from the set of the Mortal Kombat movie courtesy of director Kevin Tancharoen.
Returning actors include Jeri Ryan as the headstrong "Lieutenant Sonya Blade" from Tancharoen's unofficial fan short Mortal Kombat: Rebirth as well as Michael Jai White as "Major Jackson 'Jax' Briggs" and Darren Shahlavi as the sly and cunning "Kano."
According to Tancharoen, The Mortal Kombat digital series is an anthology of multiple live action shorts. Each episode will provide never-before-revealed insights into characters featured in the upcoming videogame as well as the game's universe. Hopefully the popularity of the series will continue and the suits that own the rights to the MK franchise will grant a proper theatrical release. Are you guys as excited as I am?
