I have been soooo excited about this movie being made ever since hearing that Kate Beckinsale would be returning to the role that made her an object of many a fanboy's affection the moment she strutted her leatherific self the first Underworld movie. Shooting for the fourth installment with directors Mans Marlind and Bjorn Stein is currently going on in Vancouver, Canada, and the images featuring Selene is not Kate but her stunt double. I'm also hoping Patrick Tatopoulis will be returning to do the creature work. The photos are courtesy of Vancouver Is Awesome.
Here is a summary of the plot, which will begin where Underworld: Evolution left off
Underworld: New Dawn marks a return to the story of vampire Selene who, according to a leaked plot synopsis, finds out she has a teenage "vampire/Lycan hybrid daughter" and together they must stop bio-tech company Antigen from "creating super Lycans that will kill them all."
Underworld: New Dawn will hit theaters on January 20, 2012.
