DAVE GROHL HATES GLEE
You can add Foo Fighters singer Dave Grohl as the latest musician who wants to be off with creator Ryan Murphy's head. Now that the Glee beef with Slash and Kings of Leon has died down Dave Grohl is letting everyone with sensation in their ears know how much he hates FOX's most overrated primetime musical.
The tiff began in Tuesday's episode when if I'm not mistaken Sue Sylvester made a snide comment about the band which I believe stems from Ryan getting pissed everytime a musician refuses to let him have license to use the music he wants for the show.
Says Dave to The Hollywood Reporter: “It’s every band’s right, you shouldn’t have to do fucking Glee. And then the guy who created Glee is so offended that we’re not, like, begging to be on his fucking show… fuck that guy for thinking anybody and everybody should want to do Glee.
I watched 10 minutes. It’s not my thing
The Glee guy, what a fucking jerk. Slash was the first one. He wanted to do Guns ‘n’ Roses and Slash is like, ‘I hate fucking musicals. It’s worse than Grease.’ Then [Murphy's] like, ‘Well, of course he’d say that, he’s a washed up ol’ rock star, that’s what they fucking do.’ And then Kings of Leon say, ‘No, we don’t want to be on your show.’ And then he’s like, ‘Snotty little assholes…’ And it’s just like, Dude, maybe not everyone loves Glee. Me included.”
I'm with you Dave. I watch Glee with my 11-year-old goddaughter who loves it, but I often find myself annoyed with the bad acting from those kids on the show. I always have to laugh when I hear friends of mine get all excited over Glee like it's stop everything you are doing and make it must see TV. My cup of tea borders on the line of Shameless and Southland. Also that Lea Michelle is sooo fucking irritating and you can clearly see she so desperately wants to be a superstar in the caliber of say a Barbra Streisand or Liza Minnelli. The fact that the show is overhyped by FOX and the media works my nerve to the core. Ryan needs to learn that not everyone wants their music associated with a TV musical and you're not always going to get what you want. Rock n Roll is about rebellion and if the Foo Fighters want to use other means to promote their music outside of cheesefests like Glee or even American Idol, then that's their prerogative.
