SINGER JESSE McCARTNEY HEADS BACK TO TV IN NEW COMIC BOOK SERIES
Deadline is reporting that singer/actor Jesse McCartney has nabbed a major lead role on Fox's new fall series, Locke & Key. McCartney, who has had recurring roles on ABC Family's Greek, as the voice of Theodore in the Alvin & the Chipmunks movies, Robin on Young Justice, and starred on the short-lived series Summerland will play eldest son Ty Locke, while Sarah Bolger stars as his sister Kinsey, Miranda Otto as their mother Nina and Nick Stahl as Ty's uncle, Duncan Locke. The pilot will be directed by music video and film director Mark Romanek (One Hour Photo, Janet Jackson's Got Til It's Gone). Jesse's latest single Shake is also available to download on iTunes.
Here is a synopsis of the series: Based on the comic book series by Joe Hill and distributed by IDW Publishing, "Locke & Key" tells of Keyhouse, a New England mansion with fantastic doors that transform all who dare to walk through them. The building is also home to a hate-filled and relentless creature that will not rest until it forces open the most terrible door of them all.
