SCISSOR SISTERS WORKING ON NEW ALBUM
The Scissor Sisters 2010 album Night Work may have been met with mixed reviews from fans and critics alike, but don't expect Jake Shears and the gang to go out quietly into the good night. Not only is the band gearing up to open up for the final leg of Lady Gaga's Monster's Ball tour, but they are also getting ready to record a new album.
“We’ve been playing around in the studio again. Fourth will be done when it’s done. It’ll take less time than night work.”
I actually liked Night Work (which I will agree was uneven), but it seems producer Stuart Price can't seem to get a break. Not only did NW flop, but so did another album he produced last year - Kylie Minogue's Aphrodite. That was the best (and most cohesive) album she's released since Fever, and many slept on it. Stuart is an awesome producer (I still listen to his Jacques Lu Cont CD) but his production style was no match for the hypersexuality of SS. As for Kylie, she'll make all her money back when she tours around the world this Spring/Summer, so don't cry for her Argentina. I say more high energy stuff on the next record and less Fire With Fire.
