REGGAETON ARTIST SUES SHAKIRA IN LOCA LAWSUIT

You can add Shakira as the latest singer/songwriter to get a lawsuit thrown her way. Nejo, a reggaeton artist claims that he contributed to the lyrics for the song Loca, which has gone on to become an international hit, and has also included co-writers Pitbull and Cata in the lawsuit.

Says Nejo: I am furious, they used my part of the song, my verses, my voice, and the remix I did with Dalmata. Cate stole from me because he stayed quiet to he can take all the money. Even though he (Cata) wrote the original song, he knows that Shakira fell in love with my verses. They put Shakira featuring Cata while only thanking me and Dalmatra in the CD sleeve. It should have said ‘Shakira featuring Ñejo’

More on this story as it develops.
