Controversial porn star Mason Wyler is coming under fire once again, not for one of his crazy blogs, but for the fact that the model is about to film two bareback porn films. The 27-year-old popular porn actor, who describes himself as a “sex fiend” and has blogged about his many sexual adventures, got into trouble back in 2008 when he blogged about being raped and then followed up the story with a series of posts about enjoying rough sex and ultimately decided against pressing charges. Shortly after he received a huge backlash from fans who felt he made up the rape accusation. Wyler also has gone on the record revealing that he is HIV positive and that “I take responsibility for my own actions.”
Wyler revealed on his NSFW blog that the reason he is doing two bareback sex scenes with Owen Hawk and Brandon Hawk — porn stars, and boyfriends, who are also HIV-positive is because "my career had been at a standstill (or dead) for nearly nine months. I sent out emails, made phone calls, and tweeted to little or no avail. I got offers from plenty of bareback studios but the big studios, which are "safe-sex" studios, weren't interested. There are many justifications as to why my time in the mainstream part of the industry is seemingly over. I don't look as good as I used to... especially compared to who's out there today. I've worked for nearly every major studio/website there is when companies covet exclusivity. I make headlines and gain attention for horrible things. I'm HIV Positive and everybody knows it. I've been in this business for six years, that's a long time for porn, maybe too long, but I can't bring myself to throw in the towel. When RawFuckClub.com gave me an offer too good to refuse, I took it. I love having sex on camera and I can't think of anything else I'd rather do. Not yet anyway."
“I actually haven’t had the experience of working with someone who I knew for sure was HIV-negative and they knew for sure I was HIV-positive. As soon as I tested positive, I stopped filming... My experience with [filming with HIV-negative people] is just from chatting with other models who are negative and have kind of hinted that they wouldn’t be too comfortable working with me… That’s where it kind of started and it set in that there is a chance that I could spread it to someone who’s negative. I wouldn’t want to cause someone direct harm or be at fault. I wouldn’t want to pose that risk on somebody — even though condoms are 99% fool-proof, there’s still a chance.”
He also stated that he wants to get fucked by Owen Hawk and that he's his "ideal top." I think since everyone pretty much knows that Mason is HIV positive, why not have him work with negative partners. Condoms will be used, and it's no different than sleeping with someone who's status you don't know. Sure it's a gamble, but sex is a gamble everytime you do it. I can't be mad at Mason if this is the only way in his mind - especially being a "sex fiend" that he can get paid. I'm sure there's other parts of the porn business he could work in, but if he enjoys having sex on camera and raw companies are going to pay his bills, then I can't be mad at him for making grown man decisions. At times I go back and forth on this issue, because every now and again I enjoy barebacking with my partners, and so far (thank the lord) my tests come back negative. What do you guys think?
