LADY GAGA TO GET IN BED WITH JUDAS FOR NEXT SINGLE
She may be shattering iTunes records and pissing everyone off for unapologetically ripping off Madonna, but while we all sit and debate about whether we love or loathe her new song, Lady Gaga has already moved on to track # 2. Everyone's favorite elementary after-school art project announced to Ryan Seacrest the name of her new single.
“The next single is called ‘Judas’ and that will be out a couple weeks before the album,” she told Ryan Seacrest on 102.7 KISS FM. “I did that record with RedOne who is so amazing.”
While the Born This Way songs were heavily protected when Anderson Cooper exclusively got a listen when her interviewed her for 60 Minutes, Gaga gave KISS FM listeners an insight on what to expect from her forthcoming third album as she spilled the tea on a few tracks: “I co-produced every song. I wrote all of the music on my own in terms of the lyrics and the melodies,” she explained. “It’s eclectic. I wouldn’t tell everyone to expect lots of the same songs as ‘Born This Way.’ I explore lots of different genres in tandem with dance music and electronic music and industrial music.”
She also revealed a few track titles, including (my favorite) Government Hooker, Marry the Night, and Hair, an electronic club record produced by RedOne with a Bruce Springsteen vibe and Clarence Clemons on saxophone. I wonder if Hair was inspired by the psychedelic musical, her hair dress or cousin It?
“‘Government Hooker’ has got this just really, really forward beat,” she shared. “It’s actually more of a hip-hop beat but we ended up double timing the beat. It’s just this super fast, really hard record. The lyrics are really filthy. It’s also empowering, but it’s a little more in the direction of sexual female empowerment.”
As long as the songs are as catchy and makes alot of money as the tracks from The Fame and The Fame Monster, I don't think her stans or her label will care. All I hope is that the songs are alot better than the juvenile lyricism expressed on Express Yourself 2.0
Born This Way will be in stores on May 23, while we should expect the video to drop within the coming weeks.
