KIEFER SUTHERLAND MAY BE HEADING BACK TO PRIMETIME

We all may be anxiously waiting for that 24 movie, but it looks like we may have to wait a bit longer should Kiefer Sutherland's new show get the greenlight. According to reports, Sutherland may be heading back to TV in a new supernatural primetime series called "Touch,” about a father who discovers his mute, autistic child can predict events before they happen. If this doesn't have a touch of Heroes meets FlashForward, I don't know what does. It may also help a bit that the pilot was written by “Heroes” creator Tim Kring, and is being produced by Fox.

It sounds like a great idea since I just read an article in the latest issue of Entertainment Weekly that the major networks are taking big risks this pilot season due to the fact that high concept shows like The Walking Dead and Mad Men are doing well on basic cable channels. Let's just hope the networks have more patience with these shows since serialized sci-fi driven shows haven't been doing well on primetime TV. The Event is a great show but the idiots over at NBC pulled the series midway to make room for The Cape, which is also struggling in the ratings.
