It looks like a battle of the divas is upon us. After the success of her new single and the anticipated release of her new video On The Floor, Jennifer Lopez has finally set a release date for her long-awaited album Love? Word on the street is that Island Def Jam will unleash her brand new album on March 29, the same day that Britney Spears new album Femme Fatale is unleashed upon us. Snoop Dogg and Whiz Khalifa also plan to release their albums on the same day, but right now let's focus on our pop divas, shall we?
So far producers on the album include RedOne on the Pitbull-assisted “On the Floor,” as well as with Tricky Stewart, The-Dream, Danja, and more. The multitalented latin bombshell will have to work extra hard to put the finishing touches on her seventh album, since the live AI shows are set to begin very soon, she has twin babies to raise, and is the new spokeswhore for Venus body products.
“I think people are gonna be surprised with some of the vocals on this album,” J.Lo recently told Angie Martinez, adding that the record will have something for everyone. “Booty shakers, mid-tempos, feel-good [songs].”
Since JLo is on the right track with On The Floor, I can't wait to see what else she comes with. Before the March 29 release, I say JLo drop the On The Floor video and then move on to a second single that will give her bigger buzz towards the album's release.
