The custody battle between Halle Berry and model Gabriel Aubry just got uglier. At the end of 2010, Aubry filed papers seeking joint custody of his daughter Nahla. Now TMZ is reporting that Halle is seeking full custody of their daughter and according to a rep, Aubry constantly demeaned her, even going as far as calling her the N word, a fucking bitch and often sent her vulgar text messages.
Says one source, “Halle has serious concerns for her daughter’s well-being while in the care of her father for any extended period of time and is prepared to take all necessary steps to protect her.”
Another source told TMZ, "He constantly demeaned her. It was awful."
So far Aubry's reps have not responded to these claims.
At first I thought all this had to do with the fact that Gabriel at one point was hanging out with Kim Kardashian, and Halle, who is notorious for screaming at the paparazzi for snapping pictures of her daughter was protecting Nahla from Kim's fame whoring hands. Accusing someone of being racist towards you in an argument takes things to a whole new level.
I don't have an issue with race mixing, since I am a child of mix race, but I've always had in the back of my mind when black women hook up with a white male or vice versa, whenever you get them pissed they always revolt back to that one word that rubs people the wrong way. I'm sure the new generation who uses it as a term of endearment wouldn't be offended if someone of another race called them a nigger, but whichever way you swat the fly the word will always have the negative meaning behind it.
