GORILLAZ HAVE CALLED IT QUITS

After recent announcements of The White Stripes and LCD Soundsystem breaking up, now comes word from a U.K. newspaper that The Gorillaz have called it quits.

“Jamie became frustrated at how much time Damon was giving to his many other projects,” reads the article. “Damon, meanwhile, was less than impressed with Jamie’s party lifestyle. With relations so bad they have decided to go their separate ways.”

“There’s been a massive argument that has basically ended things, Jamie’s gone abroad to be with his girlfriend, while Damon is busy with his opera and with the return of Blur,” the article continues. “For now it looks like it could be the end of Gorillaz.” There will certainly be a long hiatus from the band now the touring duties for Plastic Beach are over and Albarn (allegedly) focuses on the Blur reunion, so it's unlikely that these rumors will be confirmed or denied by either party in the near future.

I don't know how much of this I can take right now, and as far as this being true, no sources have been listed to verify these claims.  More on this story as it develops.
