DIRTY MONEY SINGER DAWN RICHARD UNLEASHES FREE MIXTAPE #ATELLTALEHEART
Diddy and the girls may still be trying to squeeze what little life that's left out of the Last Train to Paris CD, but Dirty Money singer Dawn Richard is pushing on with her latest body of solo work, releasing her first mixtape, ‘A prelude to #ATELLTALEHEART‘ for free on her official website.
Says the former Danity Kane member: “#ATELLTALEHEART is simply a compilation of emotions and feelings that if you were to fall into my heart, this is what my heart would sound like. It’s about my journey, my pain, my redemption, but above all my strength. It’s honest yet raw. A few of my many favorite songs include; the heart-felt “Let Love In” – it’s a plea of those who can’t let go of the past and I am simply asking for a second chance. “Bulletproof”, was a song that I wrote right after experiencing the devastation of Katrina. I felt that in this industry everyone had an opinion about me, mainly negative, but in the midst of it all, I am still here and as the lyrics say “bullets hit me but I don’t bleed”. Another favorite of mine is the very personal “These Tears”, in where I was extremely great to “love” but “love” was not so great to me,” she further explains.
I've already downloaded Dawn's mixtape and I have to say she can definitely go places as a solo artist. As for Dirty Money, I feel they have alot to offer - I just wish they had a more interesting rapper to be in the group besides Diddy. They'll be heading out on tour this Summer. Hope we can get a solo album from Ms. Richard real soon.
P.S. If you haven't heard it yet, here is your first listen to the Ass On The Floor remix featuring Trina.
