Britney Spears may not being doing much in regards to giving any details on the sound of her new album Femme Fatale, but that hasn't stopped producer Claude Kelly from talking. Here's what Kelly had to say in regards to the sound of Brit Brit's highly-anticipated new album:
“It’s a little edgier this time, darker. The sound’s a little more grimier, and dubstep, and danceable. I’d say [Hold it Against Me] is the tip of the iceberg, because that’s the very beginning of what I think will be a whole album worth of edgier, darker, but still fun pop records.”
“For me, I get inspired by the artist I’m working with. With Britney, she’s really unafraid to do anything, or try anything, so it allows you to be a little more creative and say sexier things, say more mysterious things, so it really depends on the kind of artist you’re with. With her, it’s kinda all things go.”
That's what we love about our Brit Brit. While Rihanna is more comfortable being a puppet for Def Jam, at least britney has more moxie in the sense that she takes risks with her music and choreography. I'm over rooting for Rihanna to get it together onstage. I feel in my gut that Britney is indeed back and I will be proven right when her new video Hold It Against Me debuts at 9:55 PM on MTV before the new episode of Jersey Shore.
