ADRIANNE PALICKI IS THE NEW WONDER WOMAN

It has been confirmed that actress Adrianne Palicki will twirl Wonder Woman's lasso in the NBC reboot of the hit series/comic books. For those not familiar with Adrianne, she may not be a household name (yet), but she's been making the rounds on network TV for quite a while. Adrianne's resume includes playing Tyra Collete in NBC"s critically-acclaimed but ratings starved Friday Night Lights, as well as a role on the quickly cancelled FOX series Lone Star. Palicki will also star in the upcoming feature-film remake of Red Dawn.

The series pilot is a reinvention of the iconic DC Comics title in which Wonder Woman – a/k/a Diana Prince – is a vigilante crime fighter in Los Angeles but also a successful corporate executive and a modern woman trying to balance all of the elements of her extraordinary life.

David E. Kelley and Bill D'Elia ("Boston Legal," "The Practice") are the executive producers. The pilot was written by Kelley and will be directed by Jeffrey Reiner (NBC's "The Event"). "Wonder Woman" is from David E Kelley Productions and Warner Bros. Television.

Sidebar: I pray this show is really good and doesn't suffer the same fate as another rebooted NBC series from the 70's. A little series called Bionic Woman. I wish they would have stuck with the storyline that she is an Amazon princess and not Bruce Wayne with titties. I feel this is a story we've seen one too many times and as usual producers of comics miss the mark. How much you want to bet that WW will be a damn attorney? Speaking of The Event, when the hell is that show coming back?
