Has Usher caught a case of Robynitis? After releasing two successful 2009 albums, the Raymond V Raymond LP and Versus EP, Mr. Entertainment plans to hit the studio and record tracks for a new album after he wraps his sold-out tour.
“I don’t plan on taking a long time or hiatus from music after this tour. I do plan on coming right back. I don’t know exactly what type of musical experience it will be, but I’ll be right back with another musical experience to keep it alive.”
The way this industry is now, you can't afford to take four year hiatuses in between albums. We've become such a micromanaged society that if you take five minutes from the spotlight you lose the chance of staying afloat. Xtina learned that lesson with her dated Bionic album. Since his OMG Tour wraps in late March with Trey Songz, I'm sure we can expect a new album from Ursh in late fall.
