TRAILER TRASH: NOAH WYLE BATTLES ALIEN INVADERS IN FALLING SKIES

I was watching the season finale of The Closer, and TNT premiered an exclusive trailer for the new sci-fi action series Falling Skies, starring ER's Noah Wyle and executive-produced by Steven Spielberg. The series takes place after an apocalyptic invasion of Earth and focuses on a ragtag group of survivors; Wyle plays a former teacher who finds himself caught up in the rebellion. So it's basically V meets The Walking Dead.



Wyle is no stranger to action, having starred in TNT's popular The Librarian TV movies where he played an Indiana Jones-esque character. From the looks of the trailer it looks pretty good and it also looks like it's got everything ABC series V failed to get across in it's first season. I'm really looking forward to seeing this show when it premieres this summer. Also starring in the series are Moon Bloodgood (Terminator Salvation) as Anne Glass, a therapist who works with the surviving children to help them cope with the traumatic situation; Drew Roy (Lincoln Heights) as Hal and Maxim Knight (Brothers & Sisters) as Matt, Tom's two sons; Jessy Schram (Crash) as Karen, who is one of the survivors' motorcycle scouts; and Seychelle Gabriel (Weeds) as Lourdes, an orphaned teenager who helps run the group's commissary.
