NBC GREENLIGHTS WONDER WOMAN TV SERIES

After weeks of will they or won't they drama, NBC has secured the rights to bring Wonder Woman to the small screen. The network initially passed on the series earlier this month, but I've heard since David E. Kelly's new series Harry's Law with Kathy Bates debuted pretty well in the ratings, they decided to pick up his WW project. Here is what Entertainment Weekly is reporting:

One factor that seemed to have sunk the Wonder Woman project the first time around was the price of rebooting the series, with the studio requiring a rich license fee to bring the iconic character back to life. But then, NBC has been down this road before: It rebooted Bionic Woman. Kelley’s take incorporated the superhero’s signature lasso, cuffs, and plane in the script, and insiders said it was a serious, non-campy take on the DC Comics character.

This is great news, since I love Wonder Woman as a character. As far as scheduling, should Chuck survive another season, how about making Mondays superhero night with Chuck at 8, Wonder Woman at 9 and The Cape at 10? Let's hope Wonder Woman doesn't suffer the same fate as that other show that fizzled fast on NBC...a little series called Bionic Woman. Maybe you can get the same chick to play Wonder Woman? She was good it's just the show wasn't. Or if ABC cancels V you can always hire Morena Baccarin, Evangeline Lilly from Lost or my favorite Charisma Carpenter from Buffy the Vampire Slayer. She's busty and beautiful and it seems like she doesn't age.
