THE MOVIE THAT INSPIRED ME TO GET INTO MUSIC IS...

It had been over 15 years since I saw Amadeus until recently when I popped it in my DVD player last Tuesday and it brought back a flood of memories. My father would show me this film to which started my obsession with learning the classical paino. He would also play classic opera from Beethoven, and Bach. I also loved the wigs and costumes that they wore in those days. Maybe it was the beginning of my discovery of gaydom and my flair for all things dramatic. My music teacher in elementary school Ms. Dunstan trained me to learn the piano and everytime this movie came on TV I would watch it. Unfortunately I didn't keep up with my piano skills because I got caught up in peer pressure. Kids in the hood didn't learn classic piano. I wish I would have not listened to those jealous kids who made fun of me because I developed a skill for classic piano and I could play music from memory and not from reading sheet music. Don't worry though - it hasn't stopped my love for music and making it a career.
