KORN WORKING ON SOUNDGARDEN-ESQUE NEW ALBUM
It's being reported that one of my favorite rock groups of the past decade Korn are putting in some much needed writing and collaboration time and will begin work on their 10th album starting in April.
“They [the new songs] kind of remind me a little bit of the Soundgarden style, that sort of Seattle sound. We’ll probably start recording in April to try and fine tune this sound we’re developing.”
Says guitarist James Shaffer: "We went into the studio a couple of months ago, wrote some songs, Jonathan [Davis, singer] demoed the songs on his computer, and then we took them into the studio and played them live and tweaked them a little bit."
More emotion in their music with that hard rock edge we've come to love - I can't wait!
As for the follow-up to their last album 2010's Korn III: Remember Who You Are (which I remember watching a concert special they did on the channel Paladia in the middle of cropped circles), it should hopefully be out at the end of the year.
