KID CUDI GEARS UP FOR A BUSY YEAR AHEAD
After being M.I.A. for over a year, Kid Cudi took to social networking site Twitter to let his fans know what he has on the agenda for the coming year.
Cudi talked about his upcoming rock album with his newly-formed band Wizard, consisting of him and “Day ‘N’ Nite” producer Dot da Genius. “pushing for a summer release of the wizard album. I produce and play guitar on everything with my main man @dotdagenius. he’s learnin bass,” he wrote. “wizard is a rock album, no raps, just singing. brand new thing. flavor.”
He also told his followers that he will appear on Jay-Z and Kanye West’s joint album Watch the Throne and that the Shia LaBeouf-directed video for “Maniac” from his latest album Man on the Moon II: The Legend of Mr. Rager will be out very soon. Tweets Cudi: “workin on some jay and ye shit,” he tweeted. “the maniac film will b released later this year. cage, shia and i really want everything just right, and i need the proper time for scoring. the edit must be epic.”
Cudi will also start shooting season 2 of the HBO series How To Make It In America in March, and also plans to drop a mixtape A Man Named Scott in the summer. Big fan of Kid Cudi and I loved the first season of H2MIIA. Can't wait!
