JENNIFER HUDSON TALKS SOPHOMORE ALBUM
It's been a minute since we've heard some new msuic from my girl Jennifer Hudson, and with a new baby, husband, weight loss, and attitude, JHud is ready to take 2011 by storm. In addition to having the Winnie Mandela biopic coming out later this year, Jen is releasing a new album, titled I Remember Me on March 22, and the abum's first single, Where You At? which was produced by R. Kelly, will be released to radio on January 24.
"I'm excited about this album because it's almost like a renewal for me, reflected through the chapters of my life," Hudson said in a statement. "My fans have been so loyal, I feel like they have been on this journey with me and I can't wait for them to hear the new album."
JHud also says the album's title was inspired by a poem written by Hudson and turned into a song with the help of OneRepublic's Ryan Tedder and will now appear on the album. "I've called it 'I Remember Me' because of the journey I've been on," Hudson said.
Other producers on the album besides Tedder include married couple Alicia Keys & Swizz Beatz, Rich Harrison, and Ne-Yo & Stargate.
Looks like another good one from JHud. Can't wait. In the meantime, have a listen to 30 seconds of Where You At below...
