GOLDEN VOICED YOUTUBE SENSATION TED WILLIAMS HEADS TO REHAB
Wendy Williams must be psychic, because she called out this shit before anyone else. Ted Williams, the golden-voiced homeless man who was granted vioce-over work after making a big splash on YouTube is heading to rehab. Everyone was singing his praises for going from being a man with no job to getting a gazillion offers. But earlier this week on The Wendy Williams show Williams, a former addict called out his instant success, saying that just because you have alot of money and success doesn't mean you will stay clean and sober, especially when you become an overnight sensation.
But following a police-involved confrontation with his recently reunited daughter on Monday night in Los Angeles, Williams may be headed for rehab. A rep for Dr. Phil McGraw, who has Williams on his show this week, tells PEOPLE the talk show host convinced Williams to get treatment for drug and alcohol abuse after a "lengthy one-on-one conversation."
"If Ted is ever going to get better, he's got to be honest with himself and admit he's addicted to drugs and alcohol,” says McGraw. "I've told him it's not going to be easy and it's going to take a lot of hard work. It might be a long journey for him, but this is a big step in the right direction."
This decision comes shortly after Williams, 53, admits on the syndicated Dr. Phil show in an episode airing today that he is still drinking."

Wendy said she would give him a month before he'd be going back to rehab, but I think she was being courteous. Maybe he thought so as well, because less than 24 hours after she talked about Williams on her show, the crazy shenenigans went down. I'm glad he can get a job so easily just by people seeing him on YouTube, but if you haven't been taking care of your kids for most of their life, and have been an addict for a long period of time, you cannot be surprised that you would just go cold turkey once you get money and success. Success and money just buys you better drugs, especially if you're going to be in the entertainment industry. I wish you well Ted.
Here's Williams telling his side of the story to those vampires over at ET beow...
