The LGBT community is about to get their own version of "Jersey Shore." Word on the street is that there will be an open casting call for a new reality show pilot described as Jersey Shore with a gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender cast.
The pilot for Under the Boardwalk (the show's title for now) will be shot this spring and if the show gets picked up (most likely by LOGO) then cast members will live in a beach house in Atlantic City, Ventnor or Margate for the summer.
"I think it will be fascinating," said producer Kim Friedman. Or a hot mess. Take yor pick.
The tryout requires no line reading. The only thing the casting directors need is a videotaped interview to figure out whether you're the next Snooki, Paulie D or Situation.
Tryouts will be held on February 5 at Club In or Out in Hammonton, NJ. I've been thinking about it and I think I will audition for this show. I think Jersey Shore works as a series is because these kids are unapologetically real all the time. They are not trying to be caricatures of themselves. I feel because JS is a success, most of the kids auditioning will try to act like what they see on TV. So when I step up to the plate, I will go in being myself. If i get picked I will be beyond stoked. if not there's something else on the horizon in store for me.
