Timbaland defies the haters once again with another brand spankin' new track for Timbo Thursdays, titled “Lil’ Apartment” featuring Attitude and 6 Two. If the track sounds familiar it was supposed to be on his 2007 album Shock Value, but never made the final cut. In case you haven't heard, Timbaland tweeted that there were some people trying to stop him from giving away his music for free. “Here we go ‘they’ up to it, ‘they’ tryin to shutdown my timbo thursdays,” He continued. “i knw some of yall been askin bout timbo thursdays for 2day & i told yall about my dilemma wit ‘they’ tryin to shut it down 4 various reasons,” he tweeted. “shit got me heated forreal.”
When asked to elaborate on who was trying to stop him from releasing new music online for free, the super producer remained coy. I'm going to go on a limb and guess it's label heads not pleased with not making any money off of Timbo's free giveaways. Even with the haters trying to shut down Timbo Thursdays the hottest producer in the game can't be stopped! Although when I heard this song for the first time my mind immediately went to this sounding too much like a Dr. Dre track with Nate Dogg singing on the hook.
