They tried to make him go to rehab and he said hell to the yes. According to TMZ, Backstreet Boy AJ McClean, the known bad boy of the group has allegedly battled substance abuse in recent months, which some say interfered with the group’s much-hyped tour with New Kids on the Block.
McLean even made reference to a rehab stint on his birthday January 9th via Twitter: “Its gonna be a great year! I love u all and wish me luck! I start my sober journey tomm!”
The next day McLean tweeted, “See u on the other side!”
For those who have been following BSB's career, this is not AJ's first time at the rehab rodeo. The troubled singer's fought substance abuse to alcohol and cocaine in 2001 and 2002. It would have been interesting if he would have checked into Celebrity Rehab with Dr. Drew back in 2010 so we could know what's the cause for his need to always turn to drugs, but glad he's getting the help he needs. Hope it sticks this time.
