THE A-LIST NEW YORK RETURNS FOR A SECOND SEASON

It has been confirmed that LOGO's most loathed (but secretly watched) series The A List is coming back for a second season. Although many on Twitter, Facebook, or whatever social networking website everyone is on these days yapped about how shallow and stereotypically gays are portrayed on the show, it's been noted that the first season currently ranks as the second most-watched series in Logo's history. I'm guessing RuPaul's Drag Race ranks as #1 since everything else on the network basically sucks? Word on the street is that production on the second season of 11 new hour-long episodes will begin shortly. The original cast—actor/model Reichen Lehmkuhl, his Brazilian model boyfriend Rodiney Santiago, celebrity photographer Mike Ruiz, international model Austin Armacost, modeling agent Derek Lloyd Saathoff, ultra-high-end salon owner Ryan Nickulas and his sidekick TJ Kelly—is back on for the second season. Another good thing to know is that new cast members and new story lines and cast members will be added to the show, which is good news because you can't focus an entire season once again on Reichen's and Rodiney's annoying ass relationship. As for the L.A. spin-off of the series, that idea has been put on hold for the time being while the network puts all their advertising money behind their second cash cow.

"The cast of The A-List: New York burst onto the reality scene and grabbed everyone's attention," said Dave Mace, the senior VP of original programming at Logo. "The series topped many 'guilty pleasure' lists and we're glad to bring the boys back for their fans."

So do you still think this is a "reality" show if they're going to be adding new story lines?
