TOP 10 BEST & WORST HORROR FILMS OF 2010

As the year comes to a close, I'm posting my favorite horror movies of 2010 that you MUST check out over the holidays.

1) The Human Centipede - Hands down the sickest movie I've seen in a long time, which is why it's my favorite. if you can get past all the gore, it's actually a pretty good story and well acted. Brilliant piece of art if I can say so myself.

5) Piranha 3D - A piranha regurgitating a penis? Check. Lots of tits and ass? Check. Limbs flying at you face in 3D? Check. This film won't win any Oscars (it should clean up at the 2011 MTV Movie Awards), but you will definitely have a great time watching this over-the-top gorefest.

6) Resident Evil: Afterlife - Milla Jovovich returns for a fourth time as the herione Alice, this time trying to get survivors to safety from a horde of zombies on a ship called Arcadia. The movie, which was shot with the same cameras James Cameron used in Avatar is a fun thrill ride which is never short on action, but does lack development of characters. I'm really hoping there will be more zombie killings in part 5, as well as cool stunts that don't rip off the Matrix. Also please give Claire and Chris Redfield more screentime. In the next film get more creative with the action sequences, the 3D, and don't waste the next villain (who you get to see in the end credits).

7) The Crazies - This movie had me jumping at some parts and it's a vast improvement over the Romero original (budget-wise). I just wish there was stronger character development. A nice cozy bastard cousin to the Dawn of the Dead remake.

8) Never Sleep Again: the Elm Street Legacy - The Jackie Earl Haley remake was utter shit, so I suggest checking out this amazeballs Freddie documentary instead.

9) Cabin Fever 2: Spring Fever - If you thought The Human Centipede was the grossest film to come out this year, think again. Director Ti West delivers a shameless, unapologetic follow-up to his other hit horror film, The House in the Woods. Check both out if you haven't yet.
