KRIS AVALON'S TOP 20 ALBUMS OF 2010

2010 may have been filled with alot of drama such as a bad economy, financial woes, and a rise in unemployment, but one thing that didn't slack off was the variety of good music that came out this year. I'm really looking forward to new music in 2011 from Beyonce, Britney, Madonna (hopefully), Lady Gaga, Sky Ferreira, Jessie J, and too many more to mention. So while we wait in anticipatation for new music from gaytronica's most noted divas, let's take a look back this year at some of the best albums in hip hop, R&B, pop, and electro.

1. Robyn  "Body Talk Trilogy" - Seriously no one is doing it like Robyn, who is the most creative and fearless artist in electro pop. Where most will just sing over a edgy beat and get their vocals tweaked in a studio, Robyn brings poise, creativity and emotion to a genre of music that's always deemed cold and heartless. She's the Kanye of electro pop minus the arrogant and unpredictable personality. She's also the only one who released three albums this year, mostly because she wanted to find a way to tour and make music at the same time instead of making one album and then touring with the same songs for two years. While most mainstream artists were releasing albums and EP's within six months of each other for financial gain, Robyn was doing it because she truly loves making music and being an artist.
2. Eminem - Recovery

3. Bruno Mars - Dream Streets & Hooligans
4. Simon Curtis - 8 Bit Heart
5. Cee Lo Green - The Lady Killer
6. Kelis - Flesh Tone
7. Sia - We Are Born
8. Scissor Sisters - Night Work
9. BT - These Hopeful Machines
10. Kanye West - My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy
11. Jazmine Sullivan - Love Me Back
12. Grum - Heartbeats
13. Drake - Thank Me Later
14. Fantasia - Back to Me
15. Kele - The Boxer
16. Gold frapp - Head First
17. Monica - Still Standing
18. Katy Perry - Teenage Dream
19. Kylie Minogue - Aphrodite
20. Alphabeat - The Beat Is

Worst singles of 2010

1. Reichen Lemkuhl - To The Sky (leave the professional singing to people like your former butt buddy Lance Bass, mmmkay!)

2. Angelina Pivarnik "I'm Hot"  - The minute I heard this song I personally wanted to track Snooki down and pay her good money to whoop Angelina's ass again for even attempting to do something outside of what she was good at on Jersey Shore - which was eating, drinking, talking on the phone and eating some more. I'm Hot was produced by Andy Stein in case you were wondering who not to work with in the future. Ange sings for approximately 40 seconds before going into the worst rap I've heard in a long time.

3. Kim Zolciak "Google Me"  - Have you all noticed the trend of reality Z-listers trying to cross over into the mainstream music world? Well Kim is another one who needs to go sit in a corner soewhere and look down until she gives birth to her third child. Yeah Tardy for the Party is an irresistable fluke, but Google Me (while catchy hook) shows off all her weaknesses as a singer. Listening to her try to sing The Ring Didn't Mean a Thing in the studio on last Sunday's episode put the nail in the coffin on that one.
