There seems to be alot of talent coming out of Austraila. Jessica Mauboy is the latest singer from down-under to get me going with infectuous R&B/pop tunes and fierce melodies. I thouroughly enjoyed her first single Get Em' Girls with Snoop Dogg and Maze is another gem that should be treasured. I also live for a good pop tune with a big room anthemic chorus. it always makes my heart smile something fierce!
On her sophomore album, Get ‘Em Girls features a laundry list of American and Australian producers and co-writers, including Bangladesh, Harvey Mason Jr., Audius, Claude Kelly, Brian Kennedy and even the legendary Billy Steinberg who wrote Madonna's biggest hit Like A Virgin. Don't be fooled by the list of producers on the album, which can sometimes turn into too many cooks in the kitchen. The album as a whole totally works as a cohevive project of ferosh R&B tracks that will leave you with a smile on your face. In this shitty recession we are currently in, we could use all the joy we can get. Get Em Girls is available on iTunes.
