RIHANNA PERFORMS "WHAT'S MY NAME" ON LETTERMAN; TALKS THIRD SINGLE
Rihanna is currently in New York this week, doing the promotional rounds for her fifth album "Loud." She made a pit stop on David Letterman to perform her latest single "What's My Name" and even took a moment to stop by Angie Martinez's show on HOT 97 to talk about touring the world to promote "Loud."
“Yes, we’re gonna tour. Actually, we have to finish up my Australian leg of my Last Girl On Earth tour, and we’re gonna go to Asia and Brazil. And then we’re gonna come back, regroup, rehearse, and go out on the Loud world tour. That’s gonna launch in the Summer.” Also while conversing with HOT 97's popular celebrity kissass, Rihanna talked about not being worried about first week sales.
“Never have I ever stressed out on the first week,” she told Angie Martinez. “Ever since Good Girl Gone Bad, the first week was like 160[,000], and it grew to sell nine million albums. The first week never determines what the success of the album will be.”
How interesting is it that you haven't even finished promoting albun #4, but you're out promoting album#5 and choosing all the singles that are going to get released? What kind of batteries do they have implanted in RiRi's twat because clearly she's not human. Anyways, while chatting with Elvis Duran at top 40 NYC radio station Z100, RiRi also talked about her third single (it's not like we haven't gotten tired of hearing her other two singles "What's My Name" and "Only Girl").
“The fans are gonna determine that one because we’re toying between a couple. Maybe “S&M”, maybe “Cheers”. Those are the ones that seem to be requested the most.”
Yes it's all about the fans especially when your entire album is tailored to be a singles record. A greatest hits of your best unheard work so that people can download every track on iTunes. Isn't corporate slavery great? I can't stand S&M (the song not the act) so I would go with Cheers (Drink to That) and Man Down should be the fourth single. Anyways, check out her Letterman performance which is the best she's ever sounded vocally below:
