Word on the street is that Grammy-Award winning singer Kelly Rowland, who has been trying to forge a solo career to rival DC sidekick Beyonce's owes the IRS more than $98,000 in delinquent federal taxes, according to public records.
As many may be familiar KRow, 29, rose to fame in the girl group Destiny's Child, which had many hits and also went through more group changes than I change my underwear rose to fame with their 1999 hit "Bills, Bills, Bills." After the group parted ways, she released two solo albums which did ok sales wise and has been working on her third album for almost a year.
Here is what is said to be owed:
•The IRS filed a $98,634 lien against Rowland on Nov. 8 with the New York City Register.
The address on the lien is a Manhattan office building, but here's Rowland's oceanfront place in Miami, Fla.:
Let's just hope she can get this album finished finally so that she can pay back the money she owes the IRS or else she'll be playing pen pals with Wesley Snipes.
