We're just six days away from Body Talk Part 3 arriving in stores, and two brand new Robyn songs have leaked online. I just love the consistancy of the quality songs coming from the Swedish sensation. It still shocks me that she's not bigger than so many of these overhyped pop stars that get shitted out yearly by the machine, but when they hit the stage to perform they lack stage presence or they can't even perform their own damn song (Rihanna, Nicki Minaj, Ke$ha, Katy Perry - need I go on?) Unlike the chicks mentioned, I root for Robyn because she's an artist that does it her way, and brings an emotional core to the coldness of electro music. The suits put so much money into artists like Gaga, RiRi, and Nicki that their aesthetic as well as performances (or lack there-of with Nicki and Rihanna) comes off as desperate which is a turn off to me. Maybe it's a good thing Robyn isn't a mainstream pop star. Usually when artists get to the status of a Madonna or Gaga they lose their moxie.
