Now this story caught me completely offguard. According to TMZ, 24-year-old R&B singer Mario was arrested for 2nd degree assault after police were called due to an altercation with his mother at their shared apartment in Baltimore, Md.
Mario’s mother Shawntia Hardaway informed the popo that her son had gone on a rampage, breaking a mirror, shattering a china cabinet, and putting a hole in the closet door. Following his outburst, Mario allegedly pushed his mother “eight feet into a living room wall, where [she] hit her head on the wall.”
Mario's turbulent relationship with his mother is nothing new. Back in 2007, Mario confronted his mother on her herion addiction when he allowed MTV's cameras to film the intervention during the documentary “I Won’t Love You to Death.” He has since been released on $50,000 bond. Maybe she relapsed, which would explain why he went ballistic. More on this story as it develops.
