After dancing my ass off with Robyn's last two Body Talk albums, Sweden's queen of emo-electro-pop has unleashed the genius cover art and tracklisting for the final chapter in the Body Talk series. As I stated before on the second episode of my radio show "Whores of Avalon," I'm happy that the third record is coming, but for someone who has the other two albums, I'm not pleased that the new record has five of the best tracks from Body Talk 1&2, and only five new tracks for part 3. I will give her half points for picking all my favorites for the third chapter. I also like this new strategy that Robyn is experimenting with, touring a bit, then going back in the studio to work on new music. As an artist, when creativity and inspiration strikes, who the hell has time to horde ideas for two years while you perform the same songs for two years straight? Even if you just buy the last chapter, I would advise you get all three because the songs that didn't make the final cut are just as good as the songs that will be on part 3. Body Talk will be in stores on Novemner 22.
