RIHANNA UNDER NEW MANAGEMENT WITH ROC NATION

After five mediocre-selling albums, Rihanna is finally taking full control over her career. According to reports, RiRi has split with her longtime manager Marc Jordan of Rebel One Management, and has signed a new deal with mentor Jay Z's Roc Nation imprint. Here's what the alien princess told the Associated Press:

“[I'm] so excited to take this next step in my career."  Along with her new deal, Rihanna plans to get more business-savvy by launching Rihanna Entertainment, a company that will “merge all of her businesses, including music, film, fragrance, fashion, and book ventures.”

Def Jam is pretty much heading down the toilet, so Rihanna was smart to stick with Jay on some level, even though musically she is still signed to her home label. Loud will be in stores on November 16.
