With all these religious nazi's, political talking heads, and homophobes spewing hate against gays, P!nk has decided feature gay marriage as the theme for the music video for her latest single "Raise Your Glass." Here is what she told MTV.com quote:
"I threw my best friend's wedding in my backyard -- [she] is gay and she married her wife, and it was absolutely beautiful. At the end of it, her mom said, 'Why can't this be legal?' and started crying. It was just the most heartbreaking thing I've ever seen so that's why I'm doing it in my video."
Pink says she wrote the song because she wanted to write one about underdogs. The singer, who was at the Human Rights Commission event Saturday night in Washington, D.C. with her husband, motocross rider Carey Hart, posted a photo on his Twitter feed of his wife posing at the event with "Modern Family" actors Jesse Tyler Ferguson and Eric Stonestreet, as well as one that shows her posing with singer Bette Midler.
I love me some P!nk, and I have said time and time again she's the ballsiest woman in pop music today. I really hope her video raises not only a stir amongst the haters, but a few glasses as well. Pink's next album "Greatest Hits... So Far!!!" will be in stores on November 16th.
