With so many dance and modern artist's making a comeback, one group I'm glad to see hitting the studio to create some musical magic is none other than En Vogue. I remember being in summer camp when I was a kid, sangin' "My Lovin' (Never Gonna Get It) everytime I heard it on the radio. That was also the time when people used to play En Vogue all the time blasted out of their cars and their homes (back when everyone had vinyl). Just a little background for the younger set. En Vogue were the biggest R&B quarted of the late 80's/early 90's long before them Destiny Child girls knew what an independent woman was. The group were unstoppable and untouchable, until notorious diva Dawn Lewis wanted to leave the group and branch out on their own. The other three ladies tried to keep the group going by releasing a few albums, but they never matched their earlier hits as a quartet. Now after over a decade of being in and out of groups (Lucy Pearl), a solo album no one cared about, and a reality show that never saw the light of day, Dawn has returned to the vehicle that made her famous. So far there's no announcement of a full-length with original tracks in the works, but besides performing a few live shows here and there, there is a 20 Year Anniversary album in the works featuring their greatest hits (and hopefully a few new ones).
