DAVID GUETTA WANTS CHRISTINA AGUILERA ON NEW ALBUM

Now that the left-of-center electro disaster that was "Bionic" came and went, another producer feels he can revive her dance diva status. David Guetta, who has been violating everyone's radio as of late, wants the "Genie In a Bottle" singer on his next record. At the moment the French DJ.producer is touring Mexico with the Black Eyed Peas, and he's gearing up to re-release his last album "One Love" with four new songs, which will include his recent collabo with Rihanna, called “Who’s That Chick” (you may have seen the Japanese-inspired video all over the internet recently), as well as some remixes. He’s already recorded nine new songs for his next studio album, which is due out in 2011, and says he loves Christina's voice and the emotion she brings to her songs, that he wants to capture that magic on a track of of his own. Guetta also has a few songs he's produced for the new BEP album, The Beginning, which is due in November, and there's word that Fergie and Will.I.Am. have contributed songs to his new album, and he would like to have Usher and Nicki Minaj (who he had the NERVE to call the next Missy Elliott) on the album. How much are the suits paying to to compare her to an original hip hop superstar?

As much as Guetta's showboating in other people's videos annoys the shit out of me, I think a collaboration with he and Xtina would be awesome. I've always said her voice is better suited for big room dance music, which is what Guetta does. The minimalist indie electro that artists such as Roisin Murphy and Goldfrapp have made work for them is not something that is well suited for someone of Xtina's status. In the end the music came off like she was trying too hard to be cool and edgy. If he could bring something fresh and new that hasn't been already done, then i could see this working. Ever since he and Kelly Rowland smashed the charts last year with “When Love Takes Over,” he's been in high demand by every mainstream artist from Black Eyed Peas to Usher. His sound's been wearing a little thin, judging the sluggish sales of songs that should have been big hits such as “Commander” and “Forever and a Day.”
