ASK:REPLY NE*YO

Ne*Yo sat down with VEVO to answer fan questions about music and other stuff, one of them not being his thoughts on his album Libra Scale leaking on the internet a month before it's release. He did tweet this message when he found out about the leak.

“It has been brought to my attention that my album was hacked and leaked in the U.S. roughly a month before it’s U.S. release. Initially this angered me. It’s stealing plain n’ simple. But then I started thinking. Why do I make music? To sell records, make money, or is it because I love it, love how it touches people, how it helps people? The honest answer is both.”

If I hear a few songs online for free and I like what I hear, I do go out and buy the entire CD. I think people should do the same thing - respect the music they're hearing and support the artist. The industry needs to learn how to keep a tighter leash on the music. These days, it's very easy to hack into someone's computer and steal their music. It happens all the time. Now if the album is good Neyo should have nothing to worry about. But since I've been hearing nothing but mixed reviews, I think he should start worrying.
