For all those gossip whores (like myself) who have followed every Lindsay Lohan report, interview and tweet, you are all well aware that denial wasn't just a river in Egypt. Lindsay always went on to deny she was a drug addict, even though we saw the evidence in paparazzi shots as well as entering rehab four times. We all hoped that serving time in the clink recently as well as a short stint in rehab would straighten the troubled actress up, but apparently Lindsay has once again fallen off the wagon. After Lindsay denied for days after TMZ reported that she tested positive for cocaine on one of her drug tests, she finally came clean (no pun intended) about the matter.
"Regrettably, I did in fact fail my most recent drug test and if I am asked, I am prepared to appear before judge Fox next week as a result. Substance abuse is a disease, which unfortunately doesn't go away over night. I am working hard to overcome it and am taking positive steps forward every day. I am testing every single day and doing what I must do to prevent any mishaps in the future. This was certainly a setback for me but I am taking responsibility for my actions and I'm prepared to face the consequences. I am so thankful for the support of my fans, loved ones and immediate family, who understand that i am trying hard, but also that I am a work in progress, just as anyone else. I am keeping my faith, and I am hopeful....Thank you all!!!"
Well they say the first step to recovery is admitting you have a problem right? I guess she's all tapped out of excuses, she'd just give being honest a try. I still feel that Lindsay was taken out of rehab too early. There's also rumors that she's back with Samantha Ronson, which I think for her sobriety that's a bad idea. Their relationship wasn't under the best of circumstances, and Sam works in an industry where drugs and alcohol are around all the time. In order to stay clean she needs to remove herself from that entire environment, otherwise she will continue to fail her drug tests. Since the judge that was tough on Lindsay before she went to jail is no longer apart of her case, i'm curious as to what will happen to her after she faces the music?
