The catholic church isn't the only group notorious for making young boys bend over and touch their toes. This comes as a total shock! I would never expect someone in the black church, especially someone notorious for condemning homosexuals and gay rights to be accused of sticking his holy spirit in one (gives hard cunty side eye). It should also be no surprise that this is happening in Atlanta, a place where black queens are flocking by the bulk. Bishop Eddie Long won't be the first and surely not the last person to bash gays from the pulpit, but get some same gender loving behind closed doors.
"Defendant Long has a pattern and practice of singling out a select group of young male church members and using his authority as Bishop over them to ultimately bring them to a point of engaging in a sexual relationship," the suits allege. The pastor took one plaintiff, Anthony Flagg, 21, on overnight trips to a half-dozen American cities in recent years, Flagg's suit alleges. "Long shared a bedroom and engaged in intimate sexual contact with plaintiff Flagg including kissing, massaging, masturbating of plaintiff Flagg by defendant Long and oral sexual contact," the suit says.
Long took the other plaintiff, Maurice Murray Robinson, 20, to Auckland, New Zealand, in October 2008 for his 18th birthday and engaged in oral sex with him, Robinson's suit alleges. "Following the New Zealand Trip, Defendant Long regularly engaged in sexual touching, and other sexual acts with Plaintiff Robinson," Robinson's suit alleges. Long spokesman Art Franklin said Tuesday that "we categorically deny the allegations." "It is very unfortunate that someone has taken this course of action," he said. "Our law firm will be able to respond once attorneys have had an opportunity to review the lawsuit."
This is something that seriously needs to be talked about, the hypocrisy of organized religion, and Black folk love to play that denial game when it comes to the people they worship. I yearn for the day when the lid is blown off these self-hating homosexuals who spread their vile hate to profit their mega-churches (I'm talking about you too Ms. McClurkin). I also wish people would wake the fuck up and question why is it that people like Bishop Long screams his head off at the pulpit wearing expensive tailored suits and jewelry from Van Cleef & Arpel, but those who fill up them collection plates every sunday don't have a pot to piss in and a window to throw it out of? Sidebar: one thing CNN failed to mention was that if Coretta Scott King had a choice, she wouldn't have wanted her funeral held in Bishop Long's church. Scott King, unlike Long was not a raging homophobe. Here is what Julian Bond, the chair of the NAACP and a strong supporter of gay rights, had to say about Coretta (Bond refused to attend the funeral of Coretta Scott King that was held at New Birth MB Church). "I knew her attitude toward gay and lesbian rights. And I just couldn't imagine that she'd want to be in that church with a minister who was a raving homophobe. And I couldn't see myself in my church either."
