MTV EXTENDED PLAY: DRAKE

MTV did a really good job with this interview. I wasn't initially a fan of Drake's (although I liked him when he was on Degrassi) music because I typically like to rebel whenever the industry starts overhyping an artist that they suggest the listening public should listen to. After all the hype dissipated and I got to check out his videos and interviews, i have grown to respect Drake and his hustle. I also admire how smart he is about his business, especially doing smaller venues so that he can do his live shows his way. I also admire that he has so much potential, especially when it comes to showmanship. I can't tell you how many times I've been disappointed when a MC can't work a stage without 50 of his boys being on stage looking like a bunch of rowdy coons and baffoons. Sop fedinitely check out this interview where he talks about what inspired the look of his set, music, working on a new collabo with Rihanna, Lil Wayne, and where he was at the time when the late great R&B princess Aaliyah passed away.
