Now this is an idea I can totally get behind. With so many successful spy shows on TV (Burn Notice, Covert Affairs, the much buzzed about Undercovers), James Cameron wants to get in on the action. According to reports, the Avatar director wants to turn his hit movie "True Lies" into a TV series. The 1994 film as you remember starred Arnold Schwarzenegger as a computer salesman named Harry Tasker who was secretly a spy for the U.S. government. The series also starred Jamie Lee Curtis and Eliza Dushku. The last time Cameron was involved in preducing a series for television was the series Dark Angel with Jessica Alba. No word if it will contain the same premise as the film, or if it will take place after the film which featured Harry's wife joining the spy game. While I would totally get behind that premise with the series acting as a sequel of some sort, since Undercovers features a husband-and-wife spy team, I think it would work best if they kep the original premise of the film as the blueprint for the series. Now I for the life of me cannot think who would be the perfect actor to take on the Schwarzenegger role?
