BLACK EYED PEAS TO DROP THE BEGINNING IN NOVEMBER

Black Eyed Peas have finally set a release date for their new album. The Beginning, the follow-up to The E.N.D. will land in stores on November 30. Fergie, apl.de.ap, Will.I.Am and Taboo have been working frantically on the new record while on The E.N.D. world tour, and Will even said the record wouldn't be out by Christmas like many bloggers predicted because he wanted to take his time with the music. Although this feels like a ploy to capitalize on the Xmas rush, I think it was smart to drop the record a week later so it doesn't get caught up in the album frenzy that will be Nicki Minaj, Ne*Yo and Kanye, since the record will drop the week after Thanksgiving. Also in this microwave society in which we've created, many artists can't afford to take a few years off to make a proper album.

The new CD will be shorter than their last one, with only 12 tracks making the cut. So far producers confirmed for the album will be four songs produced by DJ Ammo (Kelis’ “4th of July (Fireworks)”), Will.i.am (who produced three tracks), and the very busy David Guetta (who produced two cuts). No word on who will produce the other three. Based on the producers confirmed, you can pretty much guess that the new album will be dance-infused, and may incorporate the out of this world visuals and costumes we've become accustomed to over the last year.
