AMERIIE'S CYMATIKA VOL. 1 WILL BE A FUSION OF TRANCE, NEW WAVE, & ACID HOUSE

Ameriie, looking like a bleached blonde Harajuku Girl gave an exclusive interview with Gowhere Hip Hop on the direction of her fifth album "Cymatika Vol. 1." Her last Rock/R&B fused album "In Love & War" may have failed to chart, but she's taking a new direction by incorporating “A fusion of New Wave, Acid House and Trance.” I can't wait to hear the music, but I'm not feeling the hair.

I feel Ameriie is falling into the trap of women of color dying their hair blond in order to get mainstream success (Beyonce, Rihanna, Shakira and even Christina Milian have done it). You don't need to fuck up your beautiful set of hair with bleach in order to get attention. I love trance, New Wave, and Acid House, but I hope it has substance like Kelis' Flesh Tone and less cheesy like Lady Gargoyle and Cascada. If she can get one of my favorite DJ/Producers Felix Da Housecat on the record, that would be awesome. But change that hair! Also be on the lookout for future dance anthems "Outside Your Body’," "Run For Cover" and "Intimidated". Cymatika Vol. 1 will be in stores Spring 2011.
