While out promoting the new movie Brooklyn's finest, Wesley Snipes (who I thought was still in jail) talked to MTV, who asked him if he would do another Blade film.
Snipes told MTV: "There are some things we really want to do that we didn't get a chance to do. The first and the second one were experiments, and we started to get better. If we do another one, it will reflect our maturity and our better understanding of the genre."
I couldn't agree more. I think it's about time for another Blade film, and Dave Goyer (who is no longer apart of the ABC series FlashForward and co-wrote the first two Nolan-directed Batman flicks) should sit down with Snipes, bury the hatchet (over damn near killing the franchise with a mediocre villain played by Prison Break's Dominic Purcell, and casting Ryan Reynolds and Jessica Biel as Whistler's long-lost daughter in Blade 3) and recapture the same magic they created with the first two Blade films. It's definitely about time we get another sequel in the franchise that was the first to put Marvel on the map and do bullet time before having it perfected in the Matrix.
